according to this report the legendary sirens, made famous by that old ass book the Odyssey, were actually monk seals. Go figure. I might add that the article doesn't mention that the sirens are never actually seen by Odysseus, only heard. So hell, maybe they were seals. A sailor adrift at sea for years might have a pretty lively imagination when it comes to the fairer sex. The writer here wants us to know though that when it comes to this new interpretation 'Historians, however, are not amused.' But seriously, are they ever?

Game, dre's new protege has just released a hot diss track directed at Joe Budden called, appropriately, "budden" where he says what we all know- "get down" was little joey's only hot track and now he needs to move on. "You ain't slick / i caught that shit / like a maddox fast ball"

While we be on the aftermath tip, Dre just signed a southerner by the name of Status Quo and recently signed Busta Rhymes (check out his new track with method man on it) to his label. Rumors have it Dre. has dropped "Detox" which was to be his follow up to "Chronic 2001" and is using those beats and his time for these two artist's upcoming records, not to mention he is producing trax for the highly anticipated sophomore release from 50 Cent, which is slated for an Independence day release this year (can't wait!)

In more diss track news, MOB Deep just dropped a diss track taking on NAS. I'm not real sure of the history here, but the track is mediocre at best (like everything the infamous crew been putting out these days)

Camron is just hot as hell these days if you ask me. I mean sheet he's had "his uzzie platoon / since that movie cocoon" so go check his new track out with "this is how we roll" star Lil flip. The bad news is his new album has been pushed back till late April, but the good news is i've had it for a while and it is pretty good.

Other songs to look out for-

Trina's "Leaving You" has been leaked and she goes on about the penis size of all the rappers she slept with (which is a lot i hear) so for you people obsessed with your dix out there (i see you lil half pint) check it out. Word out now though is she is saying she just made it all up, so who knows...

Pitbull, whoever the hell that is, has two trax im loving at the moment. "Nasty" and "Head Busta" (i think both are running a lot on 106th and park so see em there.

In local news, the bay has dropped two hot tracks recently and if they keep up this shiz you done gonna see the yay area blow soon enough. Go find The Federation feat E-40 doing Hyphee (what the hell does that mean anyway?) and my personal fave, frontline with What is it?, man that track is off the hook on the realest, Not to mention its got EA Ski on it.
